Jammin with a noodle

The Princessa Ipo actually let me brush her teeth today! Unreal. I have these wee little toothbrush and special doggy toothpaste that supposedly tastes like peanut butter, and despite several attempts in the past to try and shove this thing in her mouth and caress her buckies unsuccessfully, today was a different story. Any of you who may have tried to brush a small dogs teeth can attest that this is no easy feat.

I'm truly grateful, because this sweet and adorable poochie has developed the kind of breath that sends you running to the bathroom with massive gag reflexes and dry heaving taking over. Hopefully each day I'll be able to brush a little more as she gets used to this device, and we can get those teeth healthy again. I will sleep a lot better at night! You'd be amazed how bad a little dogs breath can be!

Kel's is out in the living room with a band mate jamming with the guitars. Mr. S is here teaching her some riffs on the bass guitar, which is truly hot! See, Kels is actually a drummer. An INCREDIBLE drummer to be completely honest. She actually won an audition a few years ago against hundreds of other drummers and got the chance to play with Shania Twain's band when she was on tour in Toronto. So how hot is that, eh!

She's always wanted to learn the bass though, and now she is finally running with that dream. So she and Mr. S are in the living room plucking away and creating some tunes. He's been offering to her for some time to teach her the bass, and I'm thrilled she's finally taking him up on that!

Last night we headed over to the in-laws to watch the first game of the Stanley Cup finals. HOT game. Part of what makes it so fun for me is I'm cheering for the team that my father in-law ISN'T. I love trying to get his goat and get under his skin during hockey games. It's my evil side coming out, I know, but it's fun and strangely gives us the opportunity to 'bond' more than if we were cheering for the same time and it seeming like I am just sucking up to him. I hold my ground, and that creates a certain amount of respect from him. That respect of course goes out the window when my team beats his 4-0 and I gloat about it. Ha! It's fun though!

The temps are actually in the low 70's today! I'm hoping this great weather is here to stay so that the pool will be opened up. I'm looking forward to getting out there every day and swimming some laps. Perhaps I will even take after my mom and get me a noodle. Daily noodling.... who can ask for anything better than that!
